Consolidated Local Election – 2019!!!

Save the date for the first consolidated local election in Doña Ana County!
The elections that appear on your ballot are determined by the address where you are registered to vote.
Through their adopted ordinances to opt-in to the Local Election, the following municipalities will have elections for their municipal officers in 2019:
– City of Las Cruces – Council Bill 18-037, Ordinance 2861
– City of Sunland Park – Ordinance 2019-1
– Village of Hatch – Ordinance 396
Through their adopted ordinances to opt-in to the Local Election, the following municipality extended their terms until 2021, so they will not have municipal officers on the ballot until 2021:
– City of Anthony – Ordinance 2018-005
– Town of Mesilla – Ordinance 2019-03
You will also see any elections pertaining to your:
– school district
– special hospital district
– community college district
– technical and vocational institute district
– learning center district
– arroyo flood control district
– special zoning district
– soil and water conservation district
– water and sanitation district

Additional Important Dates:
- 7/8/2019 – Deadline for local governments to notify County Clerk of ballot positions
- 8/7/2019 – Issuance of Election Proclamation by the Secretary of State
- 8/27/2019 – Candidate Filing Day and deadline for local governments to file ballot question resolutions with the County Clerk’s Office
