Second Annual Water Innovations & Networking Workshop
October 28, 2019 @ 8:30 am - October 29, 2019 @ 11:15 am
You’re cordially invited to attend the Second Annual Water Innovations and Networking Workshop in Alamogordo.
The workshop is FREE and is hosted by the Brackish Groundwater National Desalination Research Facility. According to Randy Shaw, Director of the facility, two New Mexico State University faculty members will present their research. Pei Xu, a civil engineering professor, and Manoj Shukla, a plant and environmental sciences professor, are among the featured presenters.
The WIN Workshop gives BGNDRF clients an opportunity to share their research methodology and outcomes with a larger audience. In addition, members of the audience are invited to give their three-minute pitches and network with subject matter experts.
Those who attend will have an opportunity to:
–Learn about the various kinds of testing that can be performed at BGNDRF, including R & D, proof of concept, third-party validation, reclamation verification, and demonstration testing.
–Tour the 43-acre BGNDRF complex and see, first-hand, the tools and equipment available to clients, including a mobile solar array, a solar concentrator, a greenhouse, and portable HDPE storage tanks.
–Attend highly informative presentations by clients and former researchers who conducted work at the facility.
–Discover funding opportunities and prize events offered by the Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Department of Energy.
–Explore potential research opportunities concerning PFAS in BGNDRF groundwater and produced water treatment for reuse.
The workshop is FREE. You’ll also receive a free hot meal and break snacks, compliments of our sponsors, including EnLITE and NMSU.
